A word from the president

Tennis is one of the most polluting sports on the planet. Tennis balls are basically made of rubber (C5H8), wool (C16H14R7O8) and nylon (C12H22N2O2). Rubber and nylon are not biodegradable and therefore every time a tennis ball is thrown it has a strong negative impact on the environment

Since entering into an agreement with Recycle Balls Canada in 2020, over 50,000 balls have been recovered in Canada.

We need the collaboration of all indoor and outdoor tennis clubs that are important players in the world of tennis in order to reach our goal of collecting 150,000 additional balls by the end of 2024!

Thank you in advance for your contribution and we look forward to collaborating with you for the 2023-2024 season!

“I am very pleased to help the non-profit RecycleBalles Canada collect thousands of used tennis balls in the Ottawa-Gatineau area for recycling. Tennis balls are not biodegradable and our goal is to keep as many of them out of landfills as possible and put them into this sustainable and eco-friendly recycling program. Let's all do our part! Together we can make a big difference! ''
